  1. Yes...now for the people of India to take it on themselves - can we hope?

  3. yes, i can say i have worked in the rural NGO segment and had to pay bribe, had worked in the corporate sector and had to pay bribe, -- and it was all for the company....i left those jobs, not because of that; that was "part of system" we had to follow....i left because of the long work hours and petty office politics :)

the telephone/the line man comes to repair the phone/electric line-- he expects a separate "chai-paani karcha" -- nothing more -- whatever we gives is enough -- but he won't stop to take a cup of tea that i would offer -

we pay, and colour it "humanitarian" that's the mentality we ourselves have -- and sometimes you can't help, but pay -

well, the bribes for politicians is a class apart - Unless it is by law and made punishable -- But "party fund" is a fine excuse -- we you know how it is,

    yet, if there's a will, there's a way --

  5. yes....but, think of it, there must also be some way for the distribution of wealth - to be frank, i myself don't mind paying those people a little more; even if I have not had any significant benefit...like at a restaurant :)

but ofcourse, that's not the bribe we are talking about that it is to be stopped by law,

  6. Breathtaking! And the perfect words! We could all use a ray of hope these days and they seem harder and harder to find!
